Mega, the new file storage service created by Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom, is now live. The service, intended as a competitor to popular storage solutions such as Dropbox, is a simple, drag-and-drop storage solution with heavy encryption, intended to protect both users and the site's owners from copyright infringement issues. Users will receive a complementary 50GB of storage on Mega's servers, and the service offers a slew of other paid tiers. For €9.99, €19.99 or €29.99, users can get 500GB, 2TB, and 4TB of cloud storage, and these tiers allow users to share their files with more people.
