Sony says PlayStation Plus will play a 'prominent role' on the PS4

We didn't hear much about the PlayStation Plus subscription service at last week's announcement, but Sony Europe CEO Jim Ryan tells the PlayStation Blog that the company hasn't forgotten it. "We’re not yet in a position to disclose our plans for the future of PlayStation Plus," says Ryan, "but there will definitely be a prominent role to play for it in the PlayStation 4 landscape." Currently set at around $5 a month, the service gives players discounts on the PlayStation Store, cloud storage for game saves, and a rotating selection of free "instant games" for the PS3 and Vita.
